Google just released a press release announcing the release of their photo management program called Google Picasa also for MacOS. MacOS users finally got it. Thanks to Google Picasa, we can organize, edit and share our photos more easily.

Of course, Google has stated that this is a beta version, as is usual with their products. Picasa allows even non-professionals, for example, to retouch old photos, remove the red-eye effect or simply create a slideshow on YouTube. Of course, there is also a link to Google Picasa WebAlbums for easy photo sharing. If you'd like to see Google Picasa in action, check out the following YouTube video.

Google Picasa can work with iPhoto exactly according to the Google motto "Don't do Evil", so you don't have to worry about Picasa modifying or damaging your libraries. Download Google Picasa you can directly from the Google website.
