Philip Houska Google has updated its translation app Google Translate for iOS. Version 5.0.0 now offers users the ability to translate offline as well, which was not possible before. Just download the selected language packs to your iPhone or iPad.
Translation of words and texts without the need for an Internet connection is especially useful when traveling or any other time when you have limited Internet access. Out of a total of 103 available languages, 52 of them can be downloaded for offline use, including Czech.
You just need to download the right packages that Google Translate itself will offer you when you use it. Then you can disconnect from the Internet without worry and continue to use the translation between the selected languages.
Instant translation via the camera has also been newly added, which now also works between English and Chinese (traditional and simplified), in total Google Translate can translate live in 29 languages, again including Czech. Version 5.0.0 finally brought thirteen additional languages for classic translation.
