Jan Zdarsa Many of you love Apple's iPhoto application, but not everyone likes this program. On the other hand, there aren't that many alternatives, so usually such a user will stay with iPhoto. But that may soon change, because Google finally is about to release its Google Picasa app for Mac.
There has been a lot of speculation about this app, and Google once said that we could see this version sometime in 2008. But this year is coming to an end and there has been no news, so a release this year was not expected much. Only this week, thanks to AppleInsider, we learned that Google Picasa internal testing is already underway! This means for us that we would be able to try this great program on our little one before the end of the year.
Of course, it's possible that internal testing will drag on a bit, but it's expected no later than January Google will indeed release at least a public beta. And so we will soon see a perfect alternative to the iPhoto program. And that's great, isn't it?
