Google on your blog he said, that its new Maps builds on the design that came out last December for the iPhone, and it's now improved with some useful search and navigation features. Google also made some changes depending on the end of its Latitude service.
Google Maps 2.0 for iOS offers a live update of the traffic situation as well as reports of accidents and events on the track, and then displays everything clearly on the map. However, unlike the version for Android, Google Maps on the iPhone or iPad cannot recalculate the route during navigation when it finds that there is a more convenient one available; however, this feature should be added for iOS in the future.
Function Explore offers a simple search for the nearest restaurants, cafes, bars or hotels. Click on the appropriate button in the search field and a list of the nearest businesses will open. Of course, you don't have to limit yourself to the selected four companies, but you can enter any places in the search field. Google Maps will then clearly list them for you, including user ratings, distance and possibly opening hours or illustrative photos.
Jak pointed out on Twitter by Pavel Šraier, Google Maps in iOS also displays some cycle maps, but so far mainly in Prague and only in parks. But we can expect that the support for this type of maps will also improve in the future.
