If you've been following the Android scene even a little, you might be familiar with Google Now, which the company introduced alongside Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is a kind of answer to Siri in a slightly different form. This is because Google uses the information it has about you - your search history, geolocation information from Google Maps and other data that the company has collected about you over time - so that it can target advertising to you.

This service is now coming to iOS. Google accidentally revealed this with a prematurely posted video on YouTube. He downloaded the video after a while, however, one of the users saved the video and uploaded it again. It can be seen from the video that the functionality of the service on iOS will be very similar to that on Android, the video even has the same story as the original promo for Android. From the information obtained, Google then puts together cards and serves them to you based on what you do. When traveling, for example, it will predict where you are going, show you the results of your favorite sports team if they are playing, or tell you when the nearest subway is running. It all sounds a little scary what Google knows about you, but that's what makes Google Now magical.

In contrast to Siri, Google Now is much more interesting for us, because Google can also recognize the spoken Czech language, so it will be possible to ask the service similar questions as the digital assistants in the iPhone, but also in Czech. While it can't handle some tasks like creating calendar appointments or reminders, it can still be a useful source of information, after all, no one has more data than Google.

Google Now will not be released as a standalone app, but as an update Google Search. All you have to do is wait for the update, which is already quite possible in Apple's approval process.
