The annoying waiting for emails in the official Gmail app is over. Today, Google released a new version labeled 3.0 to the App Store, and Gmail on iOS 7 finally supports background updates.

The background update works if you have a device with the latest iOS 7 operating system and push notifications turned on. In the past, the official Gmail was often blamed for having to wait for the user to load new emails, but this ailment has now finally been removed.

Google has also added a simpler login system in its official mail application. If you already use other Google services on your iPhone or iPad, just select the account in question from the list and you don't have to enter the username and password again. The same login system has been used for a long time, for example, with the Google Drive application.
