The iOS operating system offers a number of interesting functions and gadgets, the aim of which is to simplify and make the everyday use of the phone as such more pleasant. Apple users therefore perceive it as one of the biggest benefits that goes hand in hand with the use of iPhones. The emphasis on overall security, privacy and great optimization of hardware and software also plays a strong role in this, thanks to which Apple phones are proud of their great performance and speed.

However, you may have encountered a minor problem that, quite frankly, can scare you. The problem is when iPhone camera opens randomly. As we mentioned above, Apple phones and their entire iOS system are based on a high emphasis on privacy and security. Therefore, accidentally triggering the camera can raise concerns about whether someone is watching you. But there is no need to worry about it at all. There is a fairly high probability that this is complete banality.

iPhone camera opens randomly

If you are suffering from this problem and the iPhone camera is randomly opening, as we mentioned above, it may be a complete banality. As part of the iOS operating system, there is a function that facilitates the use of the phone, which works quite simply. Once you double/triple tap your finger on the back of the phone, a pre-set action will be triggered. It is here that you can also activate the quick launch of the camera, which can be a stumbling block. When handling the phone in your hand, you can accidentally lightly tap it and the problem is suddenly there.

So how does this whole feature work and how do you know if you have it set up? This is exactly what we are going to shed light on together now. In principle, you will find everything you need Settings > Disclosure > Touch > Tap on the back. There are two options here – Double tappingTriple tap. If you have written on the right of any of them Camera, then it's clear. So open this item and you can deactivate it straight away. Although it is not the most common problem, from time to time it can be very unpleasant and cause the already mentioned concerns. However, as we have already mentioned, a relatively quick and simple solution is offered. You can solve everything directly from Settings.

Another solution

But what to do if you don't have the Touch feature active in Accessibility and the problem still appears anyway? Then the fault could be in something completely different. So what should you do? Your first step should be to restart the device itself, which can solve a lot of unwanted errors in many ways. If the problem persists, you can try updating the device, or its operating system, or try turning off all applications and restarting the device.
