Yesterday, Apple introduced its new iPhone SE 2nd generation. This is Apple's first iPhone since the iPhone XR to feature a single rear camera. The hardware of the iPhone SE 2's rear camera is relatively simple, but in combination with the performance of last year's A13 processor, this new product from Apple could offer even better photo processing options.

iPhone SE 2 features a 12MP rear camera with a wide-angle six-element lens and an aperture of ƒ/1,8. In terms of basic parameters, it can be compared to the rear camera of the iPhone XR or iPhone 8, which the new product also resembles in its design. On the front of the iPhone SE 2 we find a 7MP selfie camera, which has the same resolution as the front camera of the iPhone 8 and iPhone XR. Advanced photo processing capabilities are provided by the A13 Bionic processor and Neural Engine, iPhone SE 2 is also equipped with a more advanced version of the Smart HDR algorithm.

Unlike the iPhone 8, the SE 2 - despite the simple rear camera - has the ability to take photos in portrait mode, even for selfies. On the iPhone SE 2, you can also control the depth of field in portrait mode, choose from a total of six portrait lighting effects and set their intensity. iPhone camera The SE 2 offers up to 8x zoom, optical image stabilization, is equipped with LED True Tone flash with slow sync and offers autofocus using Focus Pixels technology. In terms of parameters and hardware, the iPhone SE camera is most similar to the rear camera of the iPhone XR and iPhone XNUMX.
