Facebook started rolling out Messenger 4 at the end of October last year, but most users in the Czech Republic can only enjoy the new version starting this morning. Messenger 4 mainly brings a redesigned user interface, but a number of new functions are also promised.
In the Czech Republic, the new look of Messenger appeared to users for the very first time in the first half of November. However, Facebook pulled it down the same day due to an as yet unspecified bug. So it took almost two months before Mark Zuckerberg's social network managed to remove all the ailments from the application and Messenger 4 could once again be among the general public. Most likely, the new interface will be the default from now on and there is no way to change it.

The new Messenger 4 is supposed to be simpler and clearer. 71% of surveyed users requested a change in this direction. It should be noted that the new look really brings a certain clarity, but even so there will be a number of users who do not like the change. The question is also whether Facebook interpreted the wishes of the users correctly. Many would perhaps prefer to remove some redundant functions from the application, such as Stories, instead of a new design.
If you haven't activated the new user interface yet, but you would like to switch to it, then just close Messenger in the application switcher and turn it back on after a while. Sometimes it is necessary to repeat the procedure before the change really takes effect. The new look was part of an earlier update and only now has Facebook activated it, which means, among other things, that its implementation is essentially unavoidable.
Dark Mode will be added soon
Messenger 4 brings not only a new look, but also several specific functions, but these will become available later. One of them will be, for example, the option to activate Dark Mode, which will make using the application more pleasant in the evening. Another new feature is supposed to be a function that will allow users to delete a message that has already been sent, with the fact that it will be deleted for all participants in the conversation.
