On January 25, the book was published Inside apple from a well-known magazine editor and columnist Fortune, by Adam Lashinsky, which describes the internal mechanisms of Apple based on interviews with its employees. Soon we will see the Czech version of this book.

At the first mention of the book, speculation began on our website as to whether we would see a Czech translation of this book. It is not so long ago that a translation of the biography of Steve Jobs hit the shelves of Czech bookstores. Many excited readers are looking for more material about the successful company Apple. The fate of the Czech translation Inside apple we were very interested, so we found out more details.

We asked the magazine directly Fortune, whether any of the Czech publishers have approached them and, possibly, whether it would be possible to publish the book in Czech if we wanted to develop our own initiative. The following day we received a response from Nicole Bond, the manager Grand Central Publishing for international copyright. To our surprise, the rights for the Czech language have already been sold to a publishing house Computer Press.

The full text of the email response reads:

"Dear Michael,

Thank you very much for your interest in the book 'Inside Apple'. In fact, we have already licensed the copyright for the Czech language to Computer Press.

S pozdravem
Nicole"

The translation and publication of the book will therefore be undertaken by the largest publishing house of computer literature in the Czech Republic. Computer Press already published a book in 2009 As Steve Jobs thinks by Leander Kahney, so we believe this new book dealing with Apple will also do well.

Official description of the book (translation by Michal Žďánský):

In the book 'Inside Apple', Adam Lashinsky provides the reader with an insight into the leadership and innovation of the company. It reveals Apple business concepts such as POJ (Apple's practice of assigning a Directly Responsible Individual to each task) and the Top 100 (an annual event where the top 100 Apple executives for the year are secretly sent on vacation with the company's founder, Steve Jobs). Based on numerous interviews, the book reveals new, exclusive information about how Apple innovates, negotiates with its suppliers, and how the transition to the post-Steve Jobs era is underway. 'Inside Apple' examines this unique company in detail, learning about leadership, product design and marketing from it, these lessons apply in general. The publication will appeal to anyone hoping to bring a little Apple magic to their company, career or creative endeavours.

The book has 272 pages in the English original. Details regarding the release date of the Czech translation and digital distribution through the iBookstore are being ascertained.
