Apple's Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue is a big fan of basketball and the Golden State Warriors. He watched Friday's game live at Oracle Arena in Oakland while explaining how we'll be able to pay with Apple Watch during his visit.

Although the Apple watch will not arrive for another month, a press event was planned for Monday, where we will get the latest and most important information before their release. However, Eddy Cue is already wearing his Watch and although he hasn't paid directly with them at Oracle Arena yet, he shared how the whole process will work.

"Anything that makes things more practical and easier helps with adoption," he said pros Mashable Cue. “When the quarter ends and you want a drink, you want to get the drink as quickly as possible. Now it's even easier because you'll be able to pay with your watch," added Cue. The Golden State Warriors are the second overseas NBA team to use Apple Pay in their stadium.

Although Eddy Cue had his stainless steel Apple Watch on his wrist, he paid with an iPhone 6, apparently because the watch is still not for sale. For Mashable however, he described that once iPhone users are close to the Watch, there will be no need to enter passwords and passcodes, just double-tap the Watch's side buttons.

"You don't have to verify anything on your phone. Your watch has to be unlocked, and your phone can unlock it, which also recognizes when I take the watch off and give it to you,” he explained of the Apple Watch Cue payment process, confirming that the iPhone is completely out of the equation. You only have to keep it in your pocket nearby, but there is no need to take it out or unlock it.

Otherwise, paying with the watch will work if users stick with the iPhone 5. It doesn't support NFC or Touch ID, but thanks to NFC in the Watch itself, it will be possible to pay with older iPhones as well. You just need to type your code on your watch or iPhone.

In addition to basketball, Apple has pushed for the expansion of its Pay payment service in many baseball stadiums, and it can be expected that the efforts to further expand will only continue with the arrival of the Watch. If everything goes according to plan, we should probably meet again this year They could wait for Apple Pay in Europe as well.
