Today, July 17, is World Emoji Day. It is on this day that we learn about new emojis that will soon appear in the iOS operating system. This year was no different, and Apple introduced over a hundred new emojis, which you can view below. In addition, in today's Apple roundup we inform you that Apple has managed to solve a serious USB bug in the latest MacBooks, and in the latest news we look at the reopened Apple Store in Beijing. Let's get straight to the point.

World Emoji Day

Today's date, July 17, is World Emoji Day, which has been "celebrated" since 2014. The father of emoji can be considered Shigetaka Kurita, who in 1999 created the very first emoji for mobile phones. Kurita wanted to use emoji to allow users to write longer email messages at the time, which were limited to 250 words, which was simply not enough in certain situations. Apple was responsible for the initial popularization of emoji in 2012. That was when the iOS 6 operating system was released, which, in addition to other functions, also came with a redesigned keyboard that offered the possibility of writing emoji. It gradually expanded to Facebook, WhatsApp and other chat platforms.

On World Emoji Day, Apple has a habit of introducing new emoji that will soon appear in the iOS operating system. This year was no exception, and Apple announced that it will add 121 new emoji to iOS by the end of the year. Last year we saw new emojis in October on the occasion of the release of the iOS 13.2 update, this year we could see the implementation of new emojis with the official release of iOS 14 to the public. For the very first time, users noticed this error at the beginning of this year. Within days, various Internet discussion forums, along with Reddit, were flooded with information about this bug. If you have also encountered this error, we have great news for you - Apple has fixed it as part of the macOS 10.15.6 Catalina update. So all you have to do to fix the problems is to update your macOS operating system. You can do this by going to system preference, where you click the section Software update. Check out the reopened Apple Store in Beijing

In 2008, an Apple Store opened in Sanlitun, an urban district in Beijing. Specifically, this Apple Store is located in the Taikoo Li Sanlitun department store, and it can definitely be considered unique - it is the first Apple Store to open in China. The Californian giant decided to close this important Apple Store a few months ago, due to renovation and redesign. Apple says that this redesigned Apple Store looks a lot like all the other redesigned Apple Stores - you can see for yourself in the gallery below. So the main role is played by modern design, wooden elements, together with huge glass panels. Inside this apple store, there are stairs on both sides that lead to the second floor. There is also a balcony on the second floor, which is planted with Japanese jerlina deciduous trees, which are absolutely iconic for Beijing. The Apple Sanlitun Store reopened today at 17:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. CST) and various measures against the coronavirus are of course in place - such as temperature monitoring upon entry, the need to wear face masks, and more.
