Removing the 3,5mm jack from the guts of the iPhone 7 will certainly cause many complications for users. One of the main ones that most users will encounter is the impossibility of charging and listening through headphones at the same time. However, Apple solved this problem in cooperation with Belkin.
As the first variant where it is possible to connect the iPhone 7 Lightning cable for charging and at the same time headphones for listening to music, we they introduced the original Lightning dock from Apple. However, it had several disadvantages, mainly that the new EarPods with Lightning could not be connected to it.
This is now solved by a new product from Belkin, which he created Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar adapter. On it, the traditional company that produces accessories of all kinds worked directly with Apple to bring users the ability to connect the iPhone 7 to the Lightning cable twice - one for charging, the other for headphones.
The Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar will be released on October 10th and will cost $40. Apple should offer it in its Apple Online Store, we estimate the Czech price at 900 to 1 crowns. However, availability in the Czech Republic is not yet known.
According to Belkin, the adapter supports 48kHz, 24-bit audio output, and the controls and microphone still work in connected headphones. If you would like to connect headphones with a 3,5mm jack to the adapter from Belkin, you will need to have an extra one a short dongle from Apple. It is included with the iPhone 7, it costs 279 crowns separately.
Plugging in multiple adapters just to charge your iPhone while listening to music is definitely not very user-friendly. That's why Apple is heavily promoting its own new wireless AirPods, which do not need any cables.
I admit that I am very embarrassed. All the latest Apple innovations have led to the fact that for trivial tasks, you need some kind of reduction. (and even sometimes completely meaningless money) SD cards, data projector, headphones, charging, usb flash drive - is this really progress? My daughter has already left the apple world for these reasons, and I totally understand. I like apple hardware, but as I say, I'm very embarrassed about it
Here you have a reduction for free.
PS: I've only been running via bluetooth for a long time now ;-).
yes, the included adapter will definitely last, as I know Applacky cables.
And maids with a bent connector immediately lose their advantage.
That's what I thought too. A person buys headphones with a replacement cable and the adapter breaks :)
Yes, but I'm addicted to it, and it still won't fix the charging problem. Bletooth are fine for a while. On the way to fart. It won't last even a long movie.
I have this in black and I'm satisfied ;-).

It definitely lasts 5-8 hours.
You see. My wired AKGs last forever. And so 5-8 hours seems woefully short to me. I believe that it suits you, but the idea that because of the phone I have one (in addition, poor quality) headphones, while I have different ones on my iPod/notebook/second mpXNUMX player or, in a worse version, I have them through a reduction... It is absolutely strong. Chapu from Apple acquired a manufacturer of overpriced, overhyped, low-quality headphones, and now he needs to secure their sales. But the consumer sucks.
You don't understand, I don't use the headphones, but only the bluetooth module :-). I also have AKG connected to them :-).
Wait, but now I don't understand where you get the solution :). Try to spell it out half-heartedly for me like a kid in school ;)
I plug my EKG headphones into the Bluetooth module using a 3,5mm jack, which I then connect wirelessly to my mobile phone. It also has a functional remote control, which I don't have on my headphones :-).
I really expected that, but I don't understand the meaning. That bluetooth model can't really have enough capacity for data transmission to make it work in sufficient quality, can't it? So I'm referring to bluetooth headphones in general. The second thing - what's the point of having a headset with a cable and a limited playback life? :)
Well, I think AAC 256 is perfectly fine - half of the people who claim to know FLAC still don't recognize it in a blind test, and people listen to sports on their mobile phones when traveling, etc. - and at that moment the factor of surrounding noise and movement comes into play, etc. - that is, in such even a bat can't tell the FLAC moment.
In addition, headphones that would detect it are completely unsuitable for such activities.
So I only welcome wireless transmission and pressure on manufacturers.
Playing audiophile requires a quiet room and quality equipment and LPs.
From a mobile phone - it doesn't really matter here, better Bluetooth headphones are quite enough.
Me... That's a matter of taste. I listen via ipod 5th touch via flac player, I have akg y50 headphones which are almost perfectly sound-blocking. And yes - it's clear to me that playing audiophile in the subway is stupid, however, you have many situations where the noise is at such a level that you can't hear anything through the headphones. And at that moment wireless would probably bother me because they simply won't download flac when I can play it. And I know that I'm actually dissecting a non-existent situation because my iPod has a jack and so does my Fiio X1. It is such a general thought on the subject of wireless
It's actually more comfortable :-). Especially on the treadmill. I don't have the phone right in my hand and I can control it through the remote :-). Of course, the biggest advantage is that nothing prevents me from plugging in the cable ;-). And in terms of quality, I don't recognize the rear part at all when I go to Bluetooth or I don't recognize the cable.
Personally, I rather dislike the reduction. If it doesn't have a 3,5″ jack, then they should put in wireless headphones :-). Because the ones from Apple surprised me quite a bit, they are of good quality and I would take such a wireless one ;-).
Running or sport is the only time bluetooth headphones have any added value for me. Otherwise, they are rather springy.
How "awesome". I listen to music through the provided headphones. Low battery. I disconnect the headphones, connect the adapter (if I have it with me). It includes an earpiece and a charger. I finish charging, disconnect the headphones and the adapter again and connect the headphones. Elegance that Apple has been showing off for a long time :-)
well, it's quite a salary if we take into account that some not entirely bad BT headphones also range up to 2000 kc
tojo, but they are not from Apple
Those from Apple (wired) and Beats are no miracle either. I hope some real headphone manufacturer comes out with something real soon. I tried the B&O BeoPlay H5 and not much either.
Sure, I was just kidding. Of course, reductions from Apple are no better. I sincerely hope that there will be functional, inexpensive adapters for 50,- on eBay.
Well, I didn't write it in a bad way, just a statement :-) And as for the reductions, it's a waste of words. And I'm not talking about the fact that, except for Apple headphones, the others are charged via MicroUSB. To buy a bigger backpack for all the reductions, power banks and I don't know what else :-)
but of course :)
I have had this for years and have no problem :-).

150 usd is not 50 crowns in my opinion
So choose something noname, or without headphones. Look at the events etc...
I wouldn't hope too much, I understood that this reduction determines the quality of the sound..
I have an H7 and I am very happy with it. But it's all about the amp. Apple earpods also play very well when they are connected via a mini amplifier. I also play the beats solidly. In any case, there are clouds of high-quality listening. But it depends on the people. In any case, if you buy headphones for 5000, I would definitely not go for Apple's Airpods.
I haven't tried the H7, I need something small. Now I'm using RHA T20i and I'm happy, I'd prefer some quality BT module with 3,5 jack because it can be bigger, last longer and it's more versatile. Some are already being made, but the quality is not great :-(
already for the Chinese to start copying it.
Well, it's beautiful, such a monster. It didn't take much design
I have a question - aren't you worried that the lightning connector of the headphones might break? When I listen, I usually have my iPhone in my pocket, and sometimes the jack has to handle a lot. But it seems to me to be much more durable than the lightning plate.
I probably wouldn't be afraid.. I've already seen quite a few broken JACK connectors, but no Lightning :)
Someone had to come up with the removal of Jack. Without this, there will be no demand for today's expensive and low-battery headphones, but without this demand, manufacturers will not invest in the development of wireless headphones. In a few years, wireless will be a completely normal, comfortable way to listen, but we have to put up with the reductions for a while...
Don't you know how fast the ip7 charges? If Apple integrated quick charge, it wouldn't be such a problem.
I am curious how I will solve this in the car in the future when I need to navigate and listen to music at the same time. I have AUX in my car, and the cable with a 3,5 jack has a cinch at the end, which are plugged into the converter from which the socket goes to the radio (Honda Accord 7g). I would need a "lightning - cinch" cable to use this adapter :D
Given the Apple Car expansion, I don't think this will ever be addressed again in the future. It's all in the lighting.
Well, of course, but I'm thinking about my current situation, the near future vs. with some other iPhone that I will buy in the future ;)
