A few days ago, the sequel to the widely recognized and appreciated game arrived in the App Store Cut the Rope, with a subtitle Experiments. The cute creature Om Nom and his new owner immediately went to the top of the charts in many countries, and in many of them they are still at the top. Few apps manage to beat Angry Birds and stay ahead of them for a while, does this one deserve it?

The answer is clearly yes. The original Cut the Rope won the Apple Design Awards, so we can't doubt the quality of the game. The game has its own specific graphics and soundtrack, catchy controls, and you will come back to it often. But when I saw the new part for the first time, the question immediately flashed through my mind, why didn't they just continue in the old ways and add new levels to the original game, as it was until now. Yes, I thought about money, whatever it is, ZeptoLab did not disappoint and adds other news to the new game than just the levels themselves. You will be welcomed by the new owner, the Professor, who will accompany you with his messages and encourage you throughout the game. You will also be able to listen to the new soundtrack in the levels. The menu has also received a different treatment. Even so, it never ceases to boggle my mind that the new two worlds could only be part of an update. But it is what it is and it's not that bad. So let's take a look at what awaits us in the new levels.

If someone does not know the principle of the game, I will try to explain it to you in a nutshell. Om Nom is a little alien who lives in a box and likes sweets a lot. Candies (and after a recent update in the original game also a muffin or donut) are mostly tied to a rope, and you try to get the treat into the alien's stomach by cutting it. But the journey to the destination is not so easy and you will have to use more and more other gadgets to keep Om Nom happy. However, if you're just starting out, don't worry. Experiments contains 25 beginner levels that will teach you everything. New in this version are the buttons with which you shoot a new rope at the candy. The second novelty is a kind of suction cup to which a rope and a treat are tied. You can peel off these suction cups and stick them back on. Simply, the game has again brought news, thanks to which the attractiveness has increased and you will be happy to return to it again. In addition, the developers promise new levels, in which the Professor should gain even more ground. Hopefully the original game will not be forgotten, even if this one could successfully replace it.

ZeptoLab, this time without Chilling, brought to the world the continuation of its phenomenon and it has nothing to be ashamed of. "Dvojka" keeps the quality of the first and adds something new. It's already clear that it will be a commercial success, and that's probably what the creators wanted to achieve. On the other hand, the creators are not tied to the original game and thus have room for completely new stories and can move the game to a completely different place. No one knows what will come next. Cut the Rope: Experiments is still a small child that can grow into anything over time, but it hasn't brought anything groundbreaking yet. Anyway, we fans can at least be sure that there will be more updates with new levels. And that's what it's all about after all - having fun.

What is your opinion? Does it bother you that you have to pay for new levels, or are you happy that Om Nom got a completely new sequel?
