In the spirit of the slogan "know your enemy", the smallest one also made it to our editorial office, and that's why we took a look at his teeth. Will its specifications force Apple users to switch?
In the field of classic phones, Samsung has already fired all its ammunition for this year - that is, with regard to the most equipped that it has in its portfolio. We are still waiting for the new Galaxy A and Galaxy Z jigsaws, but the former is the middle class and Apple does not yet have an alternative to the latter. Really nice phone
Samsung learned to use premium materials from Apple. So when you take the Galaxy S23 in your hand, you immediately know that it is not some plastic toy of the Galaxy A series. The aluminum frame is polished and looks more like the steel in the iPhone Pro series, the slightly rounded sides remind you of the shape of the iPhone 11, the back is of course glass (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), the buttons are ideally high, the shielding of the antennas does not interfere in any way, the new green is pleasant, not flashy and changes its shade a lot depending on the light. The cameras are no longer in the integral output, but only individual lenses protrude above the back. This really worked from start to finish.

If we compare it with the iPhone 14, it doesn't come out very well. The Galaxy S23 display has an adaptive refresh rate from 48 to 120 Hz, has a decent aperture for a 12 MPx camera, and has a brightness of 1 nits. But it is clear that the iPhone 750 Pro model can already have the upper hand here. Even so, you can of course use Always-On here. There are three cameras, while the iPhone 14 lacks a telephoto lens. So you get more variability for less money here, even if it's Android-bound variability.

But lately this is no longer an obstacle. Thanks to Samsung Account, backup and data transfer is simple, thanks to close cooperation with Microsoft, Samsung tries to provide ideal cooperation with Windows, in addition, its Android 13 superstructure with the designation One UI 5.1 can do many things better than the basic system, which expands it with many more options. And yes, there is a lot of inspiration here from Apple (lock screen, selecting an object in a photo, etc.). But the important thing is that it works. And good.

It's not Android like Android with One UI. Samsung has really tuned its superstructure well. It is likely that it will not exactly excite the apple lover, the important thing is that it will not offend him. It is very easy to work with, although it is important to get used to the various differences, which may not immediately "smell" to everyone. In addition, the Galaxy S23 series currently has the most powerful chip among Android phones. So you can truly say that you won't find anything better. And since it's Snapdragon instead of Samsung's Exynos, you don't have to worry like in previous years that some soreness will break out over time.
Of course, what for is also important. If we don't take into account all the pre-order bonuses that don't end until Friday (double storage for the base price), the 128GB version will cost you CZK 23. The 499GB iPhone 128 costs CZK 14, and the 26GB iPhone 490 Pro costs CZK 128. The price/performance ratio clearly works in favor of Samsung. The Galaxy S14 simply did well, although considering the amount of changes compared to the previous generation, it is very similar to the iPhone 33 news compared to the iPhone 490.

Why is the appearance decided before functionality and technical perfection... Yes, I forgot the millennial apple... What is so terrible about glass or ceramic fixed backs. I remember the days when the phone had a user-replaceable battery, replaceable back covers and, at the same time, water resistance. I called this a technically advanced solution.
Because nobody buys ugly things
Glass is premium over plastic. It's about the feeling. Glass backs are not Apple's domain. I haven't even had to change the battery in phones from the last decade. She outlived the device, i.e. its moral lifespan. And if necessary, I will go to the service center.
Noo, it's really great that iPhone users can put up with "premium" material. But so what? When they put it in a disgusting plastic package? I also have metal+glass. But I still can't see or feel it when I carry a phone worth x thousand in a protective case.
