Believe it or not, today is exactly one week since Apple introduced its new operating systems - iOS and iPadOS 14, macOS 11 Big Sur, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14. During that week, we brought you quite a few different information and articles , which relate to these operating systems. Of course, it is clear that the most popular of all in this case is iOS 14, which was also installed by the most users. However, as is the case with beta versions, you will not be without problems.

Apple let it be known before the release of the systems that the new versions were developed in a slightly different way. The Californian giant most likely wanted to avoid the fiasco that happened with last year's operating systems, when it took a really long time before the systems became usable. After the release, it turned out that Apple wasn't really lying in this case. Even though there are only the first beta versions of the new systems in the world for the time being, it must be mentioned that they run perfectly fine, both iOS 14 and macOS 11 Big Sur or watchOS 7. But as I already mentioned, completely without there are no system errors. In iOS or iPadOS 14, you may encounter a fairly well-known error where after activating the keyboard it is not possible to write for some time, because it gets stuck. The keyboard recovers after a few moments and starts responding again, but this is a very annoying bug. Fortunately, there is a solution.

As I already mentioned, this error is quite widespread - in addition to the beta versions, it also appeared for some users in the classic public versions of iOS or iPadOS. Of course, Apple tries to fix all its errors as quickly as possible, but in this case the user must intervene. So if you also have problems with the keyboard getting stuck on your iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 14, that is, with any other version of the operating system, there is a simple way to get rid of them. Just proceed as follows:

  • On your iPhone or iPad, go to the native app Settings.
  • Then click on the section here In general.
  • In this settings section, scroll all the way down and click on the option Reset.
  • Now you just need to tap on the option Reset keyboard dictionary.
  • After that authorize using your code lock.
  • Finally, you just need to restore the dictionary they confirmed by tapping on Restore the dictionary.

Keep in mind that while this reset will fix the keyboard stuttering issues, you will lose all the custom words you typed on the keyboard as well as completely reset the keyboard dictionary to factory defaults. So it's up to you whether this reset is worth doing or not.
