When Steve Jobs first introduced the iPad, a wave of speculation was sparked by one shot from the presentation. Upon closer inspection, a glare appeared in one of the details, right where a webcam could be placed.

Although Apple did not announce the camera in the official presentation, fans were hoping that it would be a bonus surprise. Another wave of hopes was raised by a prematurely discovered spare part in which there was a free place for a camera. Additional references to the device have also appeared in upcoming beta versions of the iPad system. However, the speculations were not confirmed. iPads currently sold do not have a camera.

So will the camera be in the next versions of the iPad? AppleInsider discovered another fact about the potential use of the camera in the iPad. For business users, it is possible to disable the use of this device. Among the settings profiles, it is explicitly written in the documentation that it is possible to limit the functionality of the camera. So it is very likely that the next generation iPad will already be equipped with a camera.
