In this regular column, every day we look at the most interesting news that revolves around the California company Apple. Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

iOS 14 beta is causing an annoying problem

This year, the Californian giant showed us the new iOS 14 operating system, which was released to the public already in September. Above all, developers and other volunteers constantly test the system and, thanks to the use of the so-called developer profile, get access to beta versions of the system itself significantly before the version is released to the public. Today, information is starting to appear on the Internet that the latest update brought with it a really annoying problem. After every time Apple users unlock their phone, a dialog box will appear saying that a new beta version is available, so they should update their system.

This problem reportedly appeared in the beta version of the iOS operating system about five years ago and could not be solved other than with a patch update. The error should be present mainly in the fourth beta of iOS 14.2, but it also affects earlier versions, where the message does not pop up as often. Currently, we have no choice but to wait for the aforementioned fix.

Update: The Californian giant responded relatively quickly to a very annoying bug and on Friday, October 30, at approximately 21 p.m. our time, released a new update to the beta versions of the iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 systems. This update should finally solve the problem with the dialog window constantly popping up.

Mac sales are at a record for the fourth quarter

Unfortunately, we are currently facing a global pandemic of the disease COVID-19, due to which many countries have announced various restrictions. People now socialize much less, schools have switched to distance learning and some companies now work from the so-called home office. Of course, this requires quality equipment. In addition, we have now learned about Apple's sales for the fourth fiscal quarter of this year (third calendar quarter), which were the best ever. Sales rose to an incredible $9 billion, compared to $7 billion last year. This is a 29% increase.

It is clear that this increase is due to the just-mentioned pandemic, due to which many people need to work from home, for which they need high-quality work equipment. Apple is proud of the results as it posted a record despite struggling with delivery issues in the quarter. Macy's had the biggest sales in the United States and Asia.

We are expecting the arrival of very interesting Macs with Apple Silicon

During the apple company's fourth fiscal quarter (calendar third quarter) earnings call today, Tim Cook had some very interesting words. He said that although he does not want to reveal any details, we still have a lot to look forward to this year. We are supposed to see some amazing products this year.

So it is clear that the CEO of the Californian giant wanted to point out the arrival of Apple computers with an ARM Apple Silicon chip. The announcement of the transition from Intel to its own solution was already presented by Apple in June on the occasion of the developer conference WWDC 2020, when he added that by the end of this year we will see the first Mac with the aforementioned chip. And supposedly we should expect it very soon. Well-known leaker Jon Prosser claims that the Apple computer with Apple Silicon will be presented to us for the first time on November 17. However, we will have to wait for more information.
