The legendary mobile racing series Asphalt returns to Mac after more than nine years. After Gameloft released Asphalt 2010: Adrenaline in late 6, players can finally play the latest installment in the series, Asphalt 9: Legends.

As usual, Gameloft decided to present the gadgets of its partners, more specifically Apple, on its most popular mobile title. Already at WWDC 2019, he presented that, thanks to the new Catalyst function, developers can easily port their applications to Mac, and this is also the case with the latest Asphalt, which until now was only available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

From my own experience, I can say that the game runs really well even on the latest MacBook Air, and in addition to reaching 60 fps when playing in full-screen, you can also play the game in windowed or split-screen mode, or multitasking. Thanks to the Catalyst feature, the game also supports synchronization of progress across devices, so there is no need to start from the beginning after downloading the game on Mac. Purchased in-app purchases and game use features are also shared Sign in with Apple.

Gameloft already promised early last year that Asphalt 9: Airborne would also receive Xbox Live support including progress sync, in-app purchases and achievements, but so far no progress has been made.
