Do you feel like racing your favorite luxury car on a virtual track on Mac? Stock up on food and drink right at the table, because this game won't let you get up…

/p>When I first saw the screenshots from the game, I thought that I had gone back at least 8 years in terms of graphics. This discord only lasted until the first race. The game not only has a nice intro and animations, but also a very successful and clear menu. Every inch of the game shows the portation from the iOS platform to the desktop version. All offers are maximally limited and clear.

You have quite a nice line of cars to choose from. From the ugly ordinary cars to such gems as Bentley or Bugatti, there is even a prototype from the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the selection. The game is in the spirit of Need for Speed, so it does not play with real graphics, destroying the car and thereby ending the race, etc. The game is purely arcade, the cars sit nicely on the road and their behavior differs only minimally from car to car. In the course of a rather long career, you will get to interesting locations, such as a snowy landscape, a port city, mountains, Monte Carlo, Russia...

The level design is great and quite imaginative. The only thing I would complain about is the constantly repeating locations throughout the game, so apart from faster cars and minor changes in the route, nothing drastic changes. During the game it often felt like the computer was cheating. Even though the opponent crashed and I was the first, he caught up and overtook me without any problem. Interestingly, the further I progressed in the game, the less the computer cheated. It must be said that the opponent catches up with you without any problem even with perfect driving and full use of the interior, which has nice effects in itself and is divided into three levels of power and length. At maximum interior, the image will turn dark blue and the view and clarity of the whole situation will be limited... Anyway, this aspect can be annoying, but the game forces you to get more involved and go all the way.

I would like to return to graphics. The quality is truly prehistoric, but the game is easy to play and you can play it on any machine without any problems. Poor graphics is the biggest and practically the only consequence of iPhone/iPad porting. As the performance of the mobile platform increases, so will the quality of the desktop Mac ports, I hope. I'm very happy that Gameloft has taken such a generous approach to creating games for Apple products and releasing their best games for Mac as well.

I must not forget to mention some observations directly from the game. The game plays really well. Cars sit on the road, in most cases they turn as you need. The only thing that takes more getting used to is the drift. If you want to brake for a corner and you already have the steering wheel turned to the side, the car automatically goes into drift. To get out of it, you need to coax the key to go in the opposite direction for a while, or let off the gas, which slows you down quite a bit and suddenly you have a lot to catch up on. If you get used to this system, you can go through the turns one poem at a time and nothing can throw you off. There are classic disciplines in the game: classic race, time trial, elimination, passing points on the road or crashing opponents. Each progression in the career is conditional on driving a series of consecutive races in different locations and in different composition. As you advance in your career, you earn stars. The more stars, the more unlocked cars and upgrades you get. More stars besides the win itself can be obtained by completing bonus tasks such as the required number of points for skidding or knocking out a given number of opponents while overtaking.

In order to taste all types of cars, you need to have almost all stars from all races, which is not exactly an easy task, but it is not necessary to complete the career. Opponents are not whining smarts. Destroying them is an easy task. For cars, you can change the parameters of the available performance improvements, but you will only improve the appearance of the color or stickers.

My overall impression of the game is very good. Career and overall all types of races are balanced and without major errors. There will definitely not be a situation where in the last lap you hit a post by the side of the road, everyone overtakes you and you can start again. Roadside objects are destructible and you can't slash others. The game is so easy to play and if you don't require perfect graphics, it's also fun that you'll have a hard time getting up from your computer. Every time I needed to leave somewhere, I thought to myself after ten races: "Just one more quick race..." After a long time, we have a great arcade with flawless gameplay for a few crowns in the Mac App Store.
