Like any other AppStore user, I generally welcome sales, discounts, events. But it is quite difficult to follow the movement of the prices of all the applications or games that we might like after the discount, and quite often we miss the short action, and we don't even know about it. Not only this, the perfect AppMiner application will help you, which monitors price movements for you.

AppMiner is a pretty big project - it doesn't just exist as an iPhone app, but you can also view it on your computer via a browser at www.appminer.com. But this is just such information by the way - so what can AppMiner do on the iPhone?

Map New
On this tab, you have applications sorted into categories that have recently been added to the AppStore.

Map Sale
Here you will find all sales, promotional prices, discounted apps (of course, free apps too).

Map Top Rated
You can find the best rated applications here.

Map Search
It only searches the AppMiner database.

Map Watch
If you see an app that you would like to buy, but are happy to wait until it is discounted, you can add it to the created Bookmark List (so you can have multiple folders with apps you track the price with) or add it directly to Watch List and set how big a discount you are waiting for. You can send the list of monitored applications by e-mail and import it back into AppMiner.

A perfect option is to filter the available list on all tabs and sort it in descending/ascending order, so you can filter the currently viewed app list to All (all), Paid (paid) a Free (free). That way I can easily see all the apps in action that I can now download for free. We also have interesting options when viewing a specific application - Buzz (looks up the app on Google), More By (finds more apps from that developer), Share (you can send a recommendation to a friend by email), Watch (you add the application to the watch list) a Get It! (you go to the AppStore directly to the place where you can download the selected application).

As for the settings - you can choose the country of the Store that will be searched (unfortunately Czech is missing, but it doesn't matter too much), the skin (appearance) of AppMiner and configure which categories and whether they will be displayed or change their order. It is also possible to set the loading of application icons to Always (always), WiFi only (on WiFi only) a Never (never).

Overall, the application resembles the default AppStore application, which is definitely a good thing, it works great and is even faster than the default one. The stability is also great, although the application crashes here and there, but absolutely minimally and negligible.
