Apple offers its own Safari Internet browser as part of its operating systems. It is quite popular in the eyes of apple users - it is characterized by a simple and pleasant user environment, good speed or a number of security functions that ensure safe browsing of the Internet. An extremely important benefit also lies in the overall interconnectedness of the apple ecosystem. Thanks to data synchronization via iCloud, you can browse the Internet via Safari on your Mac at one moment and then switch to your iPhone without having to search for open cards or transfer them to the other device in any way. Apple also highlights its browser for low energy consumption and performance, in which it surpasses, for example, the popular Google Chrome.
Apple lags behind in improvements
But if we look at the overall functions or the frequency of adding news, then it is no glory. In fact, it's the exact opposite, when Apple is noticeably lagging behind its competition in the form of browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox. These three biggest players have a different strategy and add one new thing after another to their browsers. Although these are mostly trivial things, there is definitely no harm in having them available and being able to work with them if necessary. The same is true with regard to expansion. While competing browsers offer a wide variety of add-ons, Safari users have to make do with a relatively limited number. It is also true that it may not work exactly as you would imagine.
But let's leave the accessories aside and get back to the essentials. This brings us to a fundamental question that users themselves have been asking for a long time. Why does the competition present significantly more innovations? Fans see the biggest problem in the way the browser updates. The Apple company improves the browser in the form of system updates. So if you are interested in any of the new features, then you have no choice but to wait for the entire operating system to be installed. An alternative can be the Safari Technology Preview, where a newer version of the browser can be installed even on an older system. However, it is not a twice-pleasant method and is therefore intended more for enthusiasts.
How to solve the whole situation
Apple should definitely pay more attention to its browser. We live in the age of the Internet, where the browser itself plays an extremely important role. Likewise, we would find a large part of users who do not work with anything other than the browser during the whole day. But what should be changed to bring the apple representative closer to the competition? First of all, the update system should be changed so that Safari can receive news regardless of the version of the operating system.
This would open a door full of different possibilities for Apple, and above all, it would gain the ability to react much faster. Thanks to this, the frequency of updates as such could also increase. We would no longer have to wait for one major update, but gradually get new and new functions. In the same way, the apple company should not be afraid to take risks and experiment. Such a thing is completely out of the question in the case of important updates that come with a new version of the operating system.
Handsome, do you know why Safari doesn't get so many updates? Because he doesn't need them. What is he missing? What does the competition have that Safari should have too? Nothing. So let the competition beat themselves up with updates.
On Safari, I miss the tabs displayed vertically, I can't think of anything like that off the top of my head
For example, the functionality for business24 banking from Spořka works in Google and Firefox, but not in Safari.
To be honest, I don't need to enhance my browser with extensions. When there are too many, it's so lazy. I rather welcome when the browser jumps at the speed of the screen refresh rate. Obviously, Apple could fix errors in the browser separately from the system.
But Apple also makes separate Safari updates. Only Applejack hasn't noticed it yet because he doesn't use Safari.
It bothers me that after updating Safari on the iPhone, it stopped translating websites. The only option is to copy the text into a translator or use Chrome, which translates it immediately, but again cannot "turn on" the dark mode of websites. So at night in Chrome, which is in dark mode, open a website and you will get a light fart! It's a bitch..., I fondly remember the browser from Samsung, it could do absolutely everything without compromise.
