David Hanak Together with the update released a little while ago iOS 12.4, Apple surprisingly released two more updates for older versions of iOS and devices that still run on them. These are iOS 9.3.6 and iOS 10.3.4.
This update is intended for all devices for which software support for iOS 9 or iOS 10. In the case of the new iOS 9.3.6 update, it is mainly the original iPad Mini, iPad 2 and iPad 3. In the case of iOS 10.3.4, it is the iPad 4 and iPhone 5.
On these devices, the new update should be available through the classic path Settings -> In general -> Software update.
According to official information, this update solves potential problems with the accuracy of the GPS signal, or with determining the location of the device, which can adversely affect the time and date settings in cases where it does not work as it should. Apple therefore strongly recommends installing the update to everyone who has it available.
Hmmm, just for fun I fired up the old iP 4S and it really got the update. Isn't that a world record? 8 year old phone and will it get an update?
