Some time ago, Apple also boldly ventured into the waters of streaming services and the entertainment industry. So far, only a few shows have come out of apple production, while many more are in the preparation phase. But one of them managed to reach the goal that many creators dream of. The show Carpool Karaoke won the prestigious Emmy Award.

Apple certainly had no small goals with its shows. He initially considered his reality show Planet of the Apps to be a potential big hit, but it was not received very positively by critics or the audience. Fortunately, another of the apple company's attempts at original content met with much greater success. The popular show Carpool Karaoke won this year's Creative Arts Emmy Award for outstanding short-form variety series. In this category, Carpool Karaoke was nominated this July.

It is not the first time that the Emmy award has gone to the Cupertino company - Apple has won several of these prestigious awards in the past, but mostly in technical and similar categories. In the case of Carpool Karaoke, this is the first time that an original program produced by Apple has been awarded directly. "It was a risky move to try and do Carpool Karaoke without James Corden," executive producer Ben Winston said while accepting the award on stage. However, the show, in which various celebrities and well-known personalities demonstrate their singing skills, eventually gained popularity despite Corden's absence.

The show was originally part of Corden's The Late Late Show on CBS. In 2016, Apple managed to buy the copyright and launch the show as part of Apple Music the following year. The show initially had to find its way to fame - the first episodes were not exactly well received by critics, but over time Carpool Karaoke became really popular. One of the most watched parts is the one in which the band Linkin Park performs - the part was filmed relatively shortly before the singer Chester Bennington committed suicide. It was Bennington's family who decided that the segment with the group would be broadcast.
