The first MacBook Pro with Retina display will soon be out of support

In 2012, Apple first introduced the 15″ MacBook Pro with a great Retina display, for which it received a wave of positive feedback. According to the information that our foreign colleagues from MacRumors managed to obtain, this model will be marked as obsolete (obsolete) within thirty days and will not be provided with authorized service. So if you still own this model and need to replace the battery, for example, you should do so as soon as possible. But if you consider yourself a technical enthusiast and DIYer, nothing can stop you if you want to do various repairs yourself. Termination of support in authorized services will of course apply worldwide.

Apple is temporarily closing its Apple Story in the US

America is facing real problems. As you probably know from the media, a number of various protests and demonstrations are taking place in the United States of America, which are directly related to the police killing of an African-American citizen. People are understandably rioting all over the states, and in the epicenter of the incident, the state of Minnesota, there is a violent riot. Several Apple Stores experienced looting and vandalism due to these events, leaving Apple with no choice. For this reason, the Californian giant has decided to temporarily close more than half of its stores across the country. With this step, Apple promises to protect not only its employees, but also potential customers.

Even the head of Apple, Tim Cook himself, reacted to the current incidents, and issued a supportive statement for the employees of the apple company. Of course, it included criticism of racism and the murder of George Floyd, pointing out issues with racism that no longer have a place in 2020.

Apple unannounced increases the price of RAM in 13″ MacBook Pros

During today's day, we received a very interesting discovery. Apple has decided to increase the price of RAM for the entry model 13″ MacBook Pro. Of course, this is not surprising. The Californian giant raises prices for various components from time to time, which of course reflects their purchase price and current situation. But what most apple fans find strange is that Apple decided to double the price straight away. So let's compare the MacBook Pro 13″ with 8 and 16 GB of RAM. Their price difference in the United States was $100, while now the upgrade is available for $200. Of course, the German Online Store also experienced the same change, where the price rose from €125 to €250. And how are we doing here, in the Czech Republic? Unfortunately, we did not avoid price increases either, and 16 GB of RAM will now cost us six thousand crowns, instead of the original three.

Zoom is working on end-to-end encryption: But it won't be for everyone

During the global pandemic, we were forced to avoid any social interaction as much as possible. For this reason, many companies switched to home offices and school teaching took place remotely, with the help of video conferencing solutions and the Internet. In many cases, it was education around the world that relied on the Zoom platform, which provided the possibility of video conferencing completely free of charge. But as it turned out after a while, Zoom did not offer sufficient protection and could not offer its users, for example, end-to-end encryption. But this should be the end - at least partially. According to the company's own security consultant, work has begun on the aforementioned end-to-end encryption. Anyway, the problem is that the security will only be available to subscribers of the service, so if you use it completely free of charge, you will not be entitled to a secure connection.
