It is also clear to Apple that it cannot be left behind with iTunes, while there has been a trend on the Internet for a long time where people have become fond of streaming music over the Internet. And as it seems, Apple has decided to acquire the interesting Lala project.

Lala.com is one of the very interesting startups that have not yet gained much traction with regular users. At the same time, it is an excellent concept that is even better implemented. Lala.com offers free music streaming from a catalog of over 7 million songs. In addition, you can also purchase the right to unlimited listening to a song from the Internet for only $0.10, or alternatively, purchase and download a song from the catalog without DRM protection for $0,89.

But that's not all. Lala.com can search your hard drive and all the songs it finds there, so you will have them available in your library on the Internet, so you can play your songs from anywhere without annoying and long uploading. In addition, Lala also offers social features where you can receive song recommendations from music experts or your friends.

Even Lala.com has a big catch for us Europeans. For now, this service is not available in our country, and although it says on the website that we should expect this service soon, I'm a little skeptical about it (almost all music streaming services promise it).

Of course, Apple did not want to comment on the purposes for which it purchased this company. But there are mainly two solutions - either they plan to jump into the field of streaming music over the Internet or they want to improve their iTunes Genius service. Or it could be completely different and they just need some technology used on Lala.com. It is also interesting that Google has recently become a partner of Lala.com, which has not been getting along very well with Apple lately - see, for example, Apple's attempt to create its own map application.
