Dan Pražák Apple launched orders for the long-awaited Powerbeats Pro on the Czech version of its official website today. Along with the Czech Republic, the headphones are now available in more than 20 other countries, mostly located in Europe. The list includes Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Spain and Italy, for example.
Order option Offers Apple only has the black variant for now, with ivory, moss and navy blue expected to be available later this summer. Overall availability is thus currently considerably limited, which Apple itself points out and states in the description that today's orders will be sent only in the second half of July, specifically from 22 to 29 July.
The price of Powerbeats Pro is set at 6 CZK, which is less than two thousand or less than one thousand crowns more than in the case of AirPods - depending on the charging case chosen. However, it should be noted that the Powerbeats Pro does not offer wireless charging. On the other hand, it received other added functions such as water resistance, longer battery life or ultra-fast charging. In terms of design and shape, these are completely different headphones.

AirPods For athletes
Powerbeats Pro earned the nickname "AirPods for athletes" shortly after its debut. The headphones contain the same H1 chip, which mediates the "Hey Siri" function and generally speeds up the process of pairing and reconnecting to iPhone, Mac and other devices. Similar to AirPods, Powerbeats Pro is charged in a special case that is capable of providing up to 24 hours of battery life. The headphones themselves can then play music for a total of 9 hours.
However, a significant advantage compared to AirPods is not only the almost twice the endurance, but above all the resistance to sweat and water, which will come in handy especially for athletes. In particular, the headphones meet the IPX4 certification. But as they showed recent tests, in fact, they are more durable than the manufacturer declares and can withstand, for example, a twenty-minute immersion or a stream of running water without a problem.
