Dan Pražák Apple today started selling the expected Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. In principle, the design of the charging case is not much different compared to last generation, only the cutout for the rear camera has been enlarged. The hump, criticized by many, remained. But it now has a special button for controlling the camera.
The new Smart Battery Case is adapted to this year's iPhones and is available for all three models, including the largest iPhone 11 Pro Max. The case has retained both wireless and fast charging support. It is therefore compatible with Qi-certified pads and chargers with USB-PD support. The Lightning port located on the bottom edge of the package also supports a variety of accessories, including EarPods or a Lightning/3,5mm jack adapter.
Apple no longer reveals exactly how much the new Smart Battery Case will extend the life of iPhones. In the past, it has always reported accurate values in the order of hours for calls, internet use and video playback. Now, in the product description, we only learn that the case will extend the life of the iPhone by approximately 50%. The cover's charge level is displayed in the Notification Center and also on the iPhone's lock screen when the charger is connected.

The essential novelty of the packaging is a special button located on the right side. This is used to launch the Camera app and also to take photos - short press to take a picture, long press to start recording video. But the iPhone only responds to the button if it is unlocked.
The Smart Battery Case for iPhone 11 costs CZK 3, i.e. the same as last year's models. The variant for iPhone 490 and 11 Pro is available in three colors – black, white and sand pink. The case for the iPhone 11 can be purchased in two color variants – black and creamy white. You can order the Smart Battery Case from the Apple website today, the first pieces will be delivered to customers next week on Tuesday, November 26.
