As of today, the smartphone is available in more than 50 countries around the world, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Entry to the counters of sellers was preceded by pre-orders that Apple lowered last week on friday.
The new iPhone XR went on sale not only on Apple's official website, but also at authorized retailers such as Alza.cz or Mobile Emergency, and above all for Apple Premium Resellers, among which is ranked for example iWant. Although the phone is currently sold out on the Apple Online Store, we're told that brick-and-mortar retailers have a few units available for free sale. However, the number is quite limited, so if you are interested, we recommend that you hurry up with your purchase today. In addition, many of them open their branches exceptionally as early as 8:00.
The iPhone XR starts at 22 crowns for the 490 GB variant. The model with double memory (64 GB) starts at CZK 128, and the top model with 23 GB memory is valued by Apple at CZK 990. The customer can choose from six different color variants, as Apple has dressed the phone in white, black, blue, yellow, coral red and a special (PRODUCT)RED jacket.
In many ways, the iPhone XR is the same as the more expensive XS and XS Max models. The main difference lies in the display, which has LCD technology instead of OLED, and therefore does not display such saturated colors, is bordered by wider frames and lacks 3D Touch support. Similarly, the cheaper model lacks a second camera on the back serving as a telephoto lens for optical zoom. Despite this, the iPhone XR offers support for Portrait mode. The advantages are a wide range of color options, a lower price and a longer battery life.
