Michal Ždanský Apple has changed the range of its iPod touch today. Until now, it sold a 32- and 64-gigabyte model, and offered an older version of the iPod touch with a capacity of 16 GB as a cheaper option. The new offer now consists only of the current versions of the multimedia device, also called the iPhone without the phone part.
The new addition is the 16GB version of the 7th generation iPod touch for $199. We do not yet know the exact price in crowns, the Czech version of the Apple Online Store has not yet been updated. The 16GB iPod touch will offer the same equipment as the higher version, i.e. the Apple A5 chipset, a 5-megapixel camera and a four-inch Retina display. It will be available in all six colors (space grey, silver, yellow, pink, blue and red).
In addition, other iPod touches have dropped significantly by $50-$100. In the Czech Apple Online Store, this means a discount of CZK 1 on the final price of CZK 400 for the 7GB model and a discount of CZK 090 on the final price of CZK 32 for the 2GB model. Discounts for both models are already valid in the Czech Republic, we will have to wait a while for the 500GB model. Apple confirmed, that the new iPod touch will reach other countries in the coming days.
