When Apple at the end of last month introduced the new MacBook Air and Mac mini, it didn't even mention another computer in its product line. In the official press release for the new Air, the company, among other things, she pointed out, that the 15-inch MacBook Pros will get AMD's new Radeon Pro Vega dedicated graphics cards in November. Today, the promise has become a reality, and users can configure a variant with a more powerful GPU.

The new Radeon Pro Vega 16 and Vega 20 cards are only available for the more powerful 15″ MacBook Pro model with a 6 GHz 7-core Intel Core i2,6 processor. In the configuration tool, both new GPUs are available for an additional fee. When choosing the Vega 16, the customer will pay an additional 8 CZK, for the more powerful Vega 000, the price of the machine will increase by 20 CZK. The basic dedicated graphics card is the older Radeon Pro 11X.

Both new units have 4 GB of HBM memory and sixteen and twenty computing units respectively. Compared to previous versions, they should offer up to 60% more performance, while the increase will be especially welcomed by professionals in the field of video editing and 3D design. A performance boost is also provided by the Rapid Packed Math feature, which speeds up the processing of real-time operations and can reduce the resources needed for repetitive tasks.

After configuring the MacBook Pro with the new Vega 16 or Vega 20, the delivery time of the laptop will be extended by 10 to 12 days. Specifically, Apple will be able to deliver the new piece to you in the Czech Republic on November 26 at the earliest. For example, in the United States, the company will start delivering new MacBooks as early as November 20.
