It's been a little over a week since Apple Issued new watchOS 5 for the public and we already have the first patch update. WatchOS 5.0.1 was released today, i.e. a minor update that focuses mainly on fixing a few bugs.

Specifically, with the new watchOS 5.0.1, Apple fixes three ailments that plagued users. First, the company addressed an issue that was causing some users to have exercise minutes load faster than they actually did. In addition, the developers at Apple managed to fix a bug due to which in some cases standing hours were not calculated correctly. And finally, the update should fix an issue that might have prevented the watch from charging.

Owners of compatible Apple Watch (all models except Series 0) will find the update in the app Watch and here then in In general -> Software update. The update is only 2 MB in the case of the Apple Watch Series 37,3. The watch needs to be at least 50% charged, connected to a charger, and within range of an iPhone connected to Wi-Fi to begin installation.
