The update to OS X 10.9.3 is traditionally recommended for all Mavericks users, and the changes will be felt mainly by those using Mac Pros from the end of 2013 and 15-inch MacBook Pros with Retina display from the same period. For them, Apple has improved support for 4K monitors. Other changes concern data synchronization between iOS and Mac and the reliability of VPN connections.

OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 is recommended for all users. Improves the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. This update:

  • Improves support for 4K monitors on Mac Pro (Late 2013) and MacBook Pro with 15-inch Retina display (Late 2013)
  • Adds the ability to sync contacts and calendars between your Mac and iOS device via a USB connection
  • Improves the reliability of VPN connections over IPsec
  • Includes Safari 7.0.3

OS X 10.9.3 can be found in the Mac App Store and will require a computer restart to install. We are talking about improved support for 4K monitors informed already at the beginning of March. The latest version of OS X Mavericks will finally offer the ability to display twice as many pixels as before, which will ensure a sharp image even on delicate displays.
