Apple today released iPhone OS 3.1.3, which is intended for all iPhone and Pod Touch models. It fixes minor bugs exactly as its label says.
You can update your iPhone right now from iTunes. You can find a complete overview of bug fixes at Apple.com. The update primarily fixes the accuracy of the iPhone 3GS battery indicator, as well as a bug that caused some apps from the Appstore to fail to load. If you have a jailbroken phone, you should not update your phone just yet.
There are also new iTunes

exactly on Tuesday at 10 hours 23 minutes 09 seconds sometime at the turn of February and March.
hmm thanks a lot :D
Stupid question, stupid answer
I only bought it a week ago and I don't know much about it then..so I needed some advice :)
So it wasn't a stupid question because not everyone in the world knows everything about jailbreaks. Alas, only an intelligent person could write something sensible to him.
It's a nice new firmware, but not having a jailbreak on an iPhone is like licking a popsicle in its wrapper :D
I think having JB on your iPhone a week after purchase is pretty early. That is, if you don't know much about it yet, which is probably also the case here.
Otherwise, I drive without JB and I can't think of anything that I should miss. Most of the talk is about multitasking, so it could run in a more limited form (for example, being able to read an incoming SMS and then return to the currently open application), but otherwise I can't think of anything. What was missing from that popsicle?
I've had a jailbreak for some time now. Things like SBSettings (quickly turning off Wifi, push and the like) I would still like, multitasking is nonsense on the iPhone at the moment and I don't need deliveries or anything like that... but what I would be really hard to do without now is LockInfo... I got rid of the need to constantly unlocking the iPhone and launching the Mail client to read each message, I keep my eyes on upcoming events from the calendar and the like.. now I'm just waiting for the Things plugin for the new version.. it helps me a lot, see http://jablickar.cz/index.php/2009/11/lockinfo-...
I guess so, I would definitely improve a few things, I just don't know if JB would handle them. Basically, I like the standard, which I would like to bring to perfection. E.g. badges on the calendar icon, add a task list to it (that's why I have Pocket Informant), I don't understand the disconnection of Notes with the classic Mac OS (I don't understand it especially with Apple) and maybe something else could be found. Continuity of dates from the directory with the calendar. During the call, I would like to look at the calendar (is it possible or can't I do it?). However, I consider the peak of my dissatisfaction to be the fact that when I receive several SMS during a call, I am not able to end the call until I tap all the SMS windows one by one. Basically, there is nothing else to do.
Well, I still have a problem with the fact that my iPhone has stopped cooperating with iPhoto. Either it doesn't appear there at all or my entire iPhoto freezes (depending on what I connect earlier). Restore solves it, but if I want to have everything as it was before, then after the backup it's all messed up again. I would prefer to throw it and a few other things on a commercial, but now I really need the iPhone.
Pop-up windows are also blocked thanks to LockInfo :) notifications only go to the lockscreen, they have already failed me..
Notes are synchronizing now, I'm not sure whether I'm using the Mail or Calendar application on macosx norlaka
Notes are in the Mail app, but I don't interact with those on the iPhone at all in any direction. In addition, there is also a ToDo item in Mail and it is also reflected in the calendar, but not in a certain day, only sideways in a column and again it does not appear anywhere in the iPhone. If you somehow synchronize your notes, I'd be happy to learn how to do it, it just doesn't work for me, they work independently. :-(
I tried it now, if I write a note on the iPhone and connect it to itunes, the same thing will appear in the mail application in reverse. I was looking for some settings but I don't see any, except for photos, I sync the entire iPhone plus contacts with gmail. nothing else. but it really works for me and I didn't turn it on anywhere
For notes, I can recommend Awesome notes.
They now allow complete synchronization with Google docs (not just backup), so you can edit notes directly on the web.
A bit of consolation is the Wall Calendar program, which can load events from Google Calendar and turn them into a photo, which you can then set as wallpaper. It takes about 3 clicks, so it can be done every morning and you have your daily agenda on your lockscreen.
Both programs have free lite versions
So it never worked for me, I don't know why. And of course it still doesn't work. And I'm not exactly an amateur, but I really don't know here. :-(

You can also turn off the call (under the specified conditions, not "i" but "only") by pressing the sleep button on the iPhone.
So, since I bought the 3GS JB, I have, and just for Backgrounder, running applications in the background. Not that you can't live without it, but the new start of navigation after a phone call is really not much, I have it there immediately, in addition, adding radars with sound notifications or adding POIs to some navigations is nice. And then there's MyProfiles. These are the main reasons why I have JB.
Yeah yeah, there's something to it all. But I'll stay without it myself for now. At least I know that, for example, the problems with iPhoto are not due to JB. ;-)
For me, the iPhone is the platform that finally gave me the comfort of not having to deal with anything. I don't have time to play with JB and tear my hair out with every FW update that it's not JBkned yet and what it will do when JBknette. I enjoy what I have, I don't worry about what I don't have. I would definitely like Locinfo or something similar, and it's practically the only thing I miss on my iPhone, but my wife also only has 2 and I have to live with her :-)
That ending could be discussed at length, but not here. Would an "iPhone-Apple-cutter" crash? :-)
for me JB is mainly about the fundamental lack of iP and that tethering.. I miss the modem !!!!

Just to send a four... :)
Just to send a four... :)
I'm not sure when the 3 was released, but I think it was sometime around March, April of last year. And if something has an order, it's annual cycles at apple :-) I'm just curious how my 3G will cope with the 4 :-)

I can't update to OS 3.1.3 via iTunes. When verifying the update, it is interrupted and the message "The iPhone could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (3001)”. Does anyone know what to do with it?
It did the same thing to me - iPhone 3GS, without JB, Win XP _ Czech version. Antivirus turned off. Does anyone have experience with this?
With cz and sk winXP, the iphone simply cannot be updated. I do it by backing up my iPhone in my winXP sk, then I update my neighbor's winVista, or winXP eng at work without synchronizing it there, and then I restore my entire iPhone from the backup at home.

don't you happen to have Windows XP - Czech? I know that some such voice appeared with them.
yes i have - winXP prefessional. What with this?
I have a Mac, so I can't advise if it can be solved other than by restoring on another computer with a different OS.

I uploaded 3.1.3 and I have a problem with the battery, I have about 46%, I turn off the iPhone and when I turn it on it shows 20%, but after a while it goes back to 46%, I tried restore but it didn't help.
Does anyone know what to do with it?
Finally, after six months, the problem of the Czech XP Prof. and update fw iPhone to version 3.1.3
Verified today on iTunes version 9.2 and iPhone 3GS
Thanks for the message, great news! :)
Times are changing for the better if I can get this online!
