Ondrej Holzman The label doesn't say much, but iOS 7.0.3 is a fairly major update for iPhones and iPads. The latest update of the mobile operating system that Apple has just released solves an annoying problem with iMessage, brings iCloud Keychain and improves Touch ID...
This update includes improvements and bug fixes, including the following:
- Added iCloud Keychain, which records your account names, passwords, and credit card numbers on all approved devices.
- Added a password generator that lets Safari suggest unique and hard-to-crack passwords for your online accounts.
- Increased the delay before the "unlock" text is displayed on the lock screen when using Touch ID.
- The ability to search the web and Wikipedia as part of Spotlight search has been restored.
- Fixed an issue that caused iMessage to fail to send messages to some users.
- Fixed a bug that prevented iMessages from being activated.
- Improved system stability when working with iWork applications.
- Fixed accelerometer calibration issue.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice.
- Fixed a bug that could allow the passcode to be bypassed on the lock screen.
- The Limit Motion setting has been improved to minimize both motion and animation.
- Fixed an issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive.
- The Bold Text setting has been updated to also change the dial text.
- Fixed an issue that could cause supervised devices to become unsupervised during a software update.
The list of changes and news in iOS 7.0.3 is therefore not small at all. The main one is undoubtedly the already mentioned solution to the problem with iMessage and the addition of Keychain in iCloud (linking with Mavericks released today). However, many users have also called for the return of the web search option from the Spotlight menu, which Apple has heard.
But the possibility is probably even more interesting Limit movement. This is how Apple responds to numerous criticisms towards iOS 7, when users complained that the system was too slow and the animations were lengthy. Apple now gives the possibility to get rid of longer animations and use the system much more quickly. Search in Settings > General > Accessibility > Restrict Motion.
Download iOS 7.0.3 directly on your iOS devices. However, Apple's servers are currently quite overloaded.

well, mainly to speed up iPhone 4. Ever since I got iOS 7, I've had a problem with it...
Have you tried factory reset after sw? Run for people whose phone slowed down after the update, it helped. (only settings, no need to delete data).
I'm in the same situation as Michal, and after three years of operation, I don't have the courage to return to the factory settings. I can't imagine what all this will affect..

I can tell you that it will not be a big change, you will adjust those few things again after a while. Of course you will lose all saved wifi. I did it myself, because the backlight was going crazy (after the event, the phone was fully lit for about 10 minutes and the battery ran out) - after the sw update.
On the contrary, I kept a lot of things from the factory and it turned out better than how I did it myself during that time of tuning.
I also did a factory reset and the Foun 4 works as it should. I highly recommend it, it's definitely worth the satisfaction. I took it to zgrunt, threw out unnecessary applications, set everything up again and finished the data, and it's completely comfortable.
And since when it will be available, so far the iPhone 4s tells me that "Your software is up to date" :-)
They will offer iTunes even if the phone does not.
So the update only speaks for itself for 64% of devices and we still have at least another 10% who would prefer to switch back to iOS6
In my opinion, they don't talk about anything at all... people like grandmothers, mothers or managers without any computer awareness don't even know that there is an update... My grandmother has an ipad and she doesn't know it. My Brother has an Iphone 4S and he doesn't know it either. My mother also has an ipad and she doesn't know about it either... I think those who actually knew about it installed it, and now only those for whom the iPhone is more of a luxury wristwatch than a smart helper are left :-)

Well, not everyone can download iOS 7 even if they want to, because the bundle of devices is not supported. Those desperate people who are dissatisfied with iOS 7 are a minimum and certainly not 10% as you state. In real life, I have not yet met a single unsatisfied iVěci owner.
Mainly, both my iPhone 4S and iPad 3rd gen seem to have sped up! Great :)
I have an iPhone 5 and after this update it's faster and the whole thing seems more optimized and better set up, I can't even tell, but I'm pleasantly surprised! Hats off and I'm already downloading Garage Band for free, it's Free ;)
I couldn't wait for this update! Finally, I won't keep accidentally launching VoiceOver over and over again (adding an option to disable it completely would be the best solution anyway).
So the "Limit movement" function is a really nice surprise. On the iP4, the system still does not run completely smoothly, but there is a noticeable acceleration.

It isn't. And because the new "carrier settings" were installed along with the update, so when I turn off LTE, 3G remains on. Which, given that I'm often in places where 3G is miserable, a bit useless.

Exactly. I would like to emphasize that this is not an Apple issue, but specifically T-Mobile, which is the only one of the three major domestic operators to have this problem. Their pointless carrier update from v.15.1. it blocked the possibility of 3G control and instead stuck LTE, which not only is not available almost anywhere, but you also have to apply for the possibility of using it. According to my information, T-Mobile is negotiating with Apple to add both 3G and LTE buttons. Hopefully this will be the case starting with iOS 7.1. Those who used the tutorial on this site to get the 3G button back on their phone should not update to iOS 7.0.3. It contains T-Mobile v.15.5 operator settings. and according to my struggle of several hours yesterday, it cannot be removed from the iPhone in any way.
I would also like to add that the problem with the 3G button concerns the iPhone from version 5.
How are you doing with T-mobile hotspot? it still didn't come back to me on the iPad (while on the iPhone it was and still is)
The hotspot still doesn't work, just to be sure, I tried inserting an O2 card into the iPad and the hotspot item appeared in the menu. After returning the TMO card, it disappeared again!
I'm in exactly the same situation - when I called t-mobile, they said everything was enabled and the error was in the iPad, when I called Apple, they just offered to bring it to the service center for diagnostics. the argument that the o2 card will offer me a hotspot and t-mobile doesn't on t-mobile somehow ignore it. I think they have a bug in the network settings and maybe there is also a problem in ios
Hi, I didn't update my previous iOS 7.0.2 and now when I want to update to 7.0.3 it says it can't verify the update because I'm not connected to the internet. At the same time, I am normally on the Internet! Don't know what would help? Shutting down doesn't help. I'm still on 7.0.0 and I should install older versions first right? but it won't offer them at all..
Has anyone tested this update on an iPhone 5s to see if it actually fixes the accelerometer, compass, etc issue? They say it was supposed to be a HW problem with cheap components. So it doesn't seem to me that a SW update would solve it. Has anyone tested this in practice?
Has anyone blbout sleep/wake button after installing 7.0.3? When I accidentally called someone from my pocket phone twice today, I then found out that the top button worked for me in about 2 cases out of 2 presses... The interesting thing is that yesterday it worked perfectly normally.
