On August 3.8.2010, 4.1, Apple released a new beta version of iOS for developers, namely iOS 3 beta 4.1. The update came a few days after the release of iOS 2 beta 27, which was released on July 2010, XNUMX. Apple also released a new SDK update (Software development kits). This is to provide developers with tools for the new beta version.

The release of the new version of iOS came as a surprise to many because Apple uses a 14-day cycle to release new beta versions, and that has now been broken. But it could mean that Apple is preparing to release iOS 4.1 to other regular users as well.

The new version, among other changes, brought the removal of Game Center (gaming social network) support for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2nd generation. As a result, Game Center only applies to owners of the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3rd generation, iPhone 4 and probably the iPad.

Apple did this removal without any further explanation, so we can only guess what led them to do it. However, it is most likely to create additional pressure on the owners of older devices, which should lead to the replacement of these older products with some newer ones.
