  • Stolen Device Protection enhances iPhone and Apple ID security by requiring Face ID or Touch ID without a fallback passcode to perform certain actions.
  • The security delay requires Face ID or Touch ID, an hour-long wait, and then another successful biometric verification before performing sensitive operations, such as changing your device's passcode or Apple ID password

  • Unity's new wallpaper honors black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month

  • Playlist collaboration lets you invite friends to a playlist and everyone can add, reorder, and remove songs
  • Emoji reactions can be added to each song in the shared playlist

This update also includes the following improvements:

  • AirPlay support in hotels allows content to be streamed directly to the in-room TV in selected hotels.
  • AppleCare & Warranty in Settings shows coverage for all devices signed in with your Apple ID.

tvOS 17.3 and HomePod OS 17.3

Apple didn't just release the big expected updates tonight, but it also didn't forget the smaller updates led by tvOS 17.3 and HomePod OS 17.3. So if you own a compatible device, you should already see the updates on them and be able to install them. If you have set the installation of updates automatically, you don't need to worry about anything.
