Dan Pražák Hand in hand with the approaching end of October, the time until the release of new secondary system updates also shortens. That's why Apple today sent another, namely the fourth betas of iOS 12.1, watchOS 5.1 and tvOS 12.1 to developers. All three new beta versions are intended primarily for registered developers. Public betas should be out tomorrow.
Developers can download new firmwares classically in Settings, for watchOS in the app Watch on iPhone. If they do not yet have a developer profile installed on their devices, they can download everything they need - including the systems themselves - in the Apple Developer Center. Public testers will then find the relevant profiles on the website beta.apple.com.
In the case of new system updates, the biggest changes took place in the field of iOS 12.1. It brings several important innovations, the most prominent of which is support for group FaceTime calls. For the new iPhones XR, XS and XS Max with the update, the promised support for Dual SIM mode will be added, as well as the ability to edit the depth of field while taking portrait photos. We should not forget more than that 70 new emojis or fixing problems with iPhone charging and wireless connection.
