Today was an extremely important day for Apple computer fans. On the occasion of today's Keynote, we saw the presentation of the new Macs, which are powered by the M1 chip from the Apple Silicon family and thus offer an incredible performance shift not only compared to previous generations, but also compared to the competition. At the very end of today's relatively short conference, Apple surprised us with one more spot - or the revival of the now legendary campaign Get a mac.

Well-known actor John Hodgman appeared on the viewers' screens. He starred in the distinctive Get a Mac commercials that ran on television screens in several countries between 2006 and 2009. In the original spots, in addition to Hodgman, who was in the role of a classic computer, Justin Long also appeared in the role of a Mac. However, Long was unfortunately absent from today's spot.

In the animated ad itself, Hodgman introduced himself as the aforementioned computer and kept asking questions about whether we actually need such progress and whether it even makes sense. With this, Apple humorously demonstrated to us that a silent computer does not have to be completely silent, and that a weaker battery life can be easily solved by connecting a charger. At the end of the spot, "PC" showed us his speed, followed by the expected stumble. The character was already quite out of breath and had to leave due to the need to connect to the electrical network. This is a wonderful irony, which Apple has literally nailed. At the same time, the whole spot was accompanied by the famous melody, which we can recognize from the iconic Get a Mac commercials from the mentioned years.

  • Newly introduced Apple products will be available for purchase in addition to Apple.com, for example at Alge, Mobile Emergency or u iStores
