The year has barely begun and Apple has already prepared several announcements for us. The first was concerned record App Store sales during the holidays, we subsequently received a notification new photo contests for iPhone 11 users, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The third announcement is especially pleasing to those who complained about problems with the Smart Battery Case on the previous generation iPhone.

The company has been selling these cases since the iPhone 6s and was also available for the iPhone Xr and iPhone Xs models. However, with these models, customers began to complain about problems with the functionality of the most important function of the cover, i.e. charging. The problem manifests itself as either intermittent charging or no charging at all, leaving users to rely solely on the built-in iPhone batteries.

Therefore, the company has launched a free exchange program to which the vast majority of users of the Smart Battery Case for iPhone Xr, Xs or Xs Max are entitled. Apple will replace all cases that were sold from January to October/October 2019 and have any of the above-mentioned defects. Customers can request a replacement directly at Apple Stores or at Apple Authorized Service Providers. However, the case will be carefully tested before replacement. Users are entitled to a replacement for a maximum of two years from the purchase of the case, worldwide.
