Apple has started rolling out a new design for its desktop app store. The new look of the Mac App Store has flatter graphics, thinner fonts and provides more freedom without many lines and boxes. So everything is done in the spirit of OS X Yosemite.

In the original Mac App Store, we could still find some elements of the previous system like shading and lighting effects, but everything is now gone in favor of a clean flat design.

When you first start, you will notice that the focus here is mainly on the content of the store itself. Most of the elements such as lines, bars, panels that separated individual applications or sections have disappeared, and everything is now displayed on a white background without color transitions, and all columns and overviews are organized only by precise alignment and formatting and different fonts.

If you don't see the new OS X Yosemite-style design in the Mac App Store yet, it should arrive in the next few days without any intervention. In the image below, you can see the original look on the left, and the new Mac App Store on the right.
