Last year, Apple started applying in some countries, such as Taiwan or Mexico, to register the iWatch trademark. He indirectly confirmed that he was at least somehow interested in the product. Not that anyone currently thinks Apple won't release some form of wearable, whether it's a watch or a wristband.

As discovered by the server MacRumors, the company began expanding its "Apple" trademark as well. Trademarks are divided into a total of 45 classes and cover all applications. The extension that Apple has applied for in the last few months is for Class 14, which includes, for example, watches or jewelry, generally materials made of precious stones or metal. Since December last year, Apple has already applied for the inclusion of a trademark in this class in Ecuador, Mexico, Norway and Great Britain. Paradoxically, not yet in his home America.

So this could be another sign that Apple is really serious about the "wearables" category. We hope that we will see a smart watch already this year. The introduction is likely to happen sometime around the release of iOS 8, where, for example, the expected new HealthBook app is expected to get some important biometric information from sensors in the wearable device.
