iPad Pro (2022) with M2 is here after a long wait! Today, through a press release, Apple introduced the new generation of the best apple tablet, which has improved again in several ways. So let's shine a light on the novelty together and show what Apple has come up with this time. The new iPad Pro with the M2 chip definitely has a lot to offer.

Performance

Of course, the main focus of the new iPad Pro is its chipset. Apple has bet on the M2 chip from the Apple Silicon family, which also beats in the MacBook Air (2022) and 13″ MacBook Pro (2022), according to which one can clearly conclude only one thing. It gives the tablet uncompromising performance. Specifically, it offers an 8-core CPU, which is up to 15% faster than the M1, and a 10-core GPU, which has improved by a great 35%. The 16-core Neural Engine also plays an important role. It can perform 15,8 trillion operations per second, making it a whopping 40% ahead of the older version from the M1 chip. We must also not forget to mention 50% better throughput reaching up to 100 GB/s and support for up to 16 GB of unified memory. In short, the new iPad Pro (2022) thus takes on the role of a performance beast that can handle practically anything. However, let's leave the limitations of the operating system aside for now.

As Apple directly states, thanks to the great performance, users can enjoy significantly faster system and individual operations. In addition, the M2 chip brings with it the important Media Engine and Image Signal Processor (ISP) coprocessors, which, in conjunction with advanced cameras, make it possible to record and transcode ProRes video up to 3x faster.

Connectivity

In addition, the iPad Pro (2022) with the M2 chip received support for the modern Wi-Fi 6E standard, which is supposed to ensure the user a lightning-fast and, above all, stable wireless Internet connection. According to the official specifications, the tablet is able to download at a speed of up to 2,4 Gb/s, which doubles the capabilities of the previous generation. In addition, Wi-Fi + Cellular models that support eSIM now come with support for multiple 5G networks across the globe. Apple is thus trying to provide apple sellers with a stable and high-quality Internet connection, regardless of where they are.

More news

Apple also addressed the Apple Pencil when introducing the iPad Pro (2022). According to the official description, it will be possible to work with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) much better, as the iPad detects it already at a distance of 12 mm from the display, which will bring with it a rather fundamental advantage - apple users will see a preview of the action without actually performing it . This is a huge step forward, which creatives will especially appreciate. In this way, you can fully immerse yourself in sketching or illustrating and be sure that you will be as accurate as possible. At the same time, third-party applications will be able to benefit from this advantage. However, it is possible that this novelty associated with the Apple Pencil is more related to the iPadOS 16 operating system.

The iPadOS 16 operating system, which will be officially released to the public in the coming days, will bring with it a number of other important innovations. The most frequently highlighted innovation is definitely the Stage Manager. This is a brand new system for multitasking, with which Apple users should be able to work with several applications at the same time, even on an external display with up to 6K resolution. An iPad with an Apple Silicon chip will be required for Stage Manager.
