Apple introduced the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new model replaces the original 15-inch variant and receives several specific innovations. The main one is the new keyboard with scissor mechanism. But the notebook also has significantly better speakers and can be configured with up to an 8-core processor and 64 GB of RAM.

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro offers the largest display since Apple discontinued the 17-inch model. In direct proportion to the higher diagonal of the display, the resolution also increased, which is 3072×1920 pixels, and thus the fineness of the display also increases to 226 pixels per inch.

Much more interesting is the new keyboard, where Apple moves away from the problematic butterfly mechanism and returns to the proven scissor type. Along with the new keyboard, the physical Escape key returns to Macs. And to maintain symmetry, Touch ID is separated from the Touch Bar, which now appears completely independently in place of the function keys.

The new MacBook Pro should also offer a noticeably better cooling system. This is to keep the processor and GPU at maximum performance for as long as possible and thus prevent forced underclocking to reduce temperatures. The notebook can be equipped with either a 6-core or 8-core Intel Core i7 or Core i9 processor in the configuration tool. The RAM can be increased up to 64 GB, and the user can choose the most powerful graphics card AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

According to Apple, the 16″ MacBook Pro is the first ever laptop in the world to offer 8 TB of storage. But the user will pay more than 70 thousand crowns for this. The basic model has a 512GB SSD, i.e. double that of the previous generation.

Those interested can order the 16-inch MacBook Pro today on Apple's website, the expected delivery is then set for the last week of November. The cheapest configuration costs CZK 69, while the fully equipped model costs CZK 990.
