Last year, Apple released two original series that were available on Apple Music. One of them was a pseudo-reality show Planet of the Apps, which revolved around developers. The second was the celebrity-focused series, Carpool Karaoke. Many so-called high-profile celebrities played in that one, but it was not possible to talk about any quality or audience success. However, this did not deter Apple from confirming the filming of the second series, which will premiere this year.

The whole concept is inspired by a segment of the popular American talk show The Late Late Show With James Corden. If you haven't seen a single episode (which is quite understandable for us), it's all about a meeting of various celebrities who drive together in a car, discuss some news and sing karaoke versions of popular songs. Many actors, singers and other very famous people appeared in the front row - namely actors Will Smith, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams (both from Game of Thrones), musicians from Metallica, Shakira, basketball player LeBron James and many classic professional celebrities.

Trailer for the first series:

The original intention of the whole show was to offer Apple Music subscribers something extra, in addition to the classic music library. The first season started in the autumn of last year and 19 episodes appeared at weekly intervals. The second season is expected to follow the first, and fans should wait again in the fall. Criticism does not spare the whole project too much. According to many, it is a simple form of insight into how separated from reality the performing celebrities really are. On IMDB, the series has an overall rating of 5,5/10. What is your opinion on this project? Have you seen at least one episode or do you watch regularly?
