Apple recently supplemented the official documentation for the second generation Apple Pencil, for a rather bizarre reason. Based on information from several users, it has become clear that in very specific cases interference can occur between the Apple Pencil and the car key. In the section regarding charging Apple Pencil 2 you will read about the circumstances under which interference can occur.

Apple tested the whole issue and as it turns out, interference does exist. If the user has an Apple Pencil 2nd generation connected to the iPad Pro, and it is charging from the iPad, both the remote control and the keyless access card may be interfered with. If the Apple Pencil is docked to the iPad Pro but not charging, no interference occurs. The same applies if the Apple Pencil is not attached to the iPad Pro.

Apple Pencil 2:

If the charged and connected Apple Pencil is near the car remote control (or any other keyless entry element), electronic interference may occur, which prevents the authorization signal from getting through to the car's security system, causing the car to not unlock when it should. So if you have an Apple Pencil 2nd generation, together with an iPad Pro, and in the past months you have found that your car unlocking does not work in places, here may be the answer.

Given the number of conditions that need to be met for such a situation to occur, it is unlikely that this will be a more widespread problem. However, it is good that Apple knows about this and informs its customers.
