In a regularly published document, the company reveals how many requests it has received from the police or courts in connection with users' devices or accounts. In addition to the largest countries in the world, the Czech Republic and Slovakia also appear in this year's table.

The positive news is that the Police of the Czech Republic and Slovakia requested help from Apple, especially in connection with theft or loss of devices. The police of the Czech Republic submitted a total of 72 requests for help with a total of 132 devices, Apple complied with 68 of them. In contrast, Slovakia submitted only one request for assistance in the search, but the device could not be found.

The record for searching for stolen or lost devices is held by Australia, which submitted 1 requests for 875 devices. The company complied with 121 requests. In total, in this regard, the company received 011 requests related to 1 apple products from government bodies around the world.

As for another type of criminal offense - misuse of payment information and other frauds related to Apple products - the Czech Republic submitted a total of 20 applications, of which 15 were processed. Slovakia has not submitted any such request.

The third significant thing, especially in connection with the currently ongoing investigation of the terrorist from the US Pensacola Air Force base, is the number of requests to disclose information from Apple ID accounts, including data from iCloud. In the first half of 2019, Apple received a total of 6 requests involving 480 accounts. Of these, nine requests regarding ten Apple ID accounts came from the Czech Republic. The company complied with five requests.

The biggest demand for user data comes from China and the US. The world's most populous country submitted a total of 25 requests that requested information on 15 Apple ID accounts. Here, the company complied with up to 666 requests, i.e. 24%. In the US, government authorities made 96 requests for 3 accounts, and the company complied with 619 of them.

This report covers data from January 1 to June 30, 2019. The company must keep this information under wraps for six months due to a 2015 US Department of Justice order.
