Overnight, Apple added a brand new tab to its website that addresses the family features of individual products. In one place, you can find basically all the essential information about how the family can use individual Apple products, what they can help with and what solutions it actually offers. The company was criticized a few weeks ago for not doing enough in this direction, and this may be one of the responses. The new "Families" panel is currently only available on the English version of Apple's website.

If you belong to the target group for which this new part of the website is intended, you can view it here. Here, Apple simply explains what tools parents can use to control their children on iOS, watchOS, and macOS devices. Here, those interested can read about how family sharing works in terms of location information, how it is possible to limit the functioning of iOS/macOS in connection with contacts, applications, websites, etc. How to set the availability of "safe" applications, how to turn off microtransaction payment options and much more…

Here, Apple comprehensively describes the current state of various control mechanisms and tools, but does not offer a look into the future. Although this was precisely what many Apple shareholders blame - that the company does not pay enough attention to the development of tools for parents. The new Families web section is currently only available in English. It is not clear when it will be translated into Czech. All the functions mentioned here work in the Czech version of iOS, so the translation will only be a matter of time.
