Next month, Apple should traditionally introduce a new generation of its tablets, but in addition to the iPad and iPad mini, we should also expect other hardware, namely the new iMacs. Ever since the release of the first MacBook Pro with a Retina display, there has been speculation about bringing the high-resolution screen to desktop computers, but they have still resisted the wave of Retina displays. In October, we should see the first iMacs with an ultra-thin display, on which OS X Yosemite will stand out much better.
They brought the news a few moments after each other blogger Jack March a Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac, both of which have reliable sources in Apple, as has been confirmed in the past. News confirmed also John Paczkowski of Re/Code, also with very reliable sources. The first indications of a Retina display appeared already in OS X, where it was possible to find references to resolutions of 6400 × 3600, 5760 × 3240 and 4096 × 2304 pixels.
However, according to March, only the 27-inch model should receive the Retina display, and that with the resolution 5120 × 2880 pixels, i.e. double the previous resolution. The smaller 1920-inch model should retain its current resolution of 1080 x 21,5, which is quite a disappointment if this news is confirmed. The XNUMX-inch iMac with Retina display should not appear until next year with the arrival of Broadwell processors.
In addition to a better display, iMacs should also receive a new graphics card from AMD, probably similar to what we find in the current Mac Pro. Until now, iMacs, with the exception of the basic model, had graphics cards from Nvidia. Since we are unlikely to see a Broadwell processor in any computer this year, Apple's desktop computers should get updated quad-core Haswells, the top model should have a processor i7-4790K with a frequency of 4.0 Ghz. In addition to the processor and graphics card, Wi-Fi should also receive an update.
The date of the October keynote is not yet known, John Dalrymple has so far ruled out the speculated October 21st, the most likely dates are October 14th or 28th, because Apple usually holds press events on Tuesdays. In addition to the mentioned iPads and iMacs, we should also wait for the official release of the OS X 10.10 Yosemite operating system.
Estimated price 70-75 thousand :-D if I hit it on purpose :-D just subtract from the 27 inch iMac with a resolution of 2560×1440 which is about 15 thousand and add a monitor from Dell with 5K and we have the price of an iMac with Retina display :-D the lower model is for 89 and the higher model for 990 ::-) This is really just an estimate.. there is a high probability that it will be more like 93, but it will still be a nice shot ... only that the 990K Apple got IPS panels somehow cheaply... which I doubt, but maybe I'm wrong...
I played analyst once :-D
This is probably a better mac pro for 67t. , with the fact that you will get the monitor when the prices drop a bit. To that graphics card from the mac pro as mentioned in the article. Is it even possible to install it in a slim body iMac?
Rather, I think he meant some kind of R290 series, those professional graphics cards in the mac pro ... regardless of the fact that the entire iMac would suddenly compete with the Mac Pro ...
And won't they represent new dimensions? E.g. 24″. Would it be cheaper then? I'm a little sorry for the price! Well, quite a bit more :) As I was looking forward to a more massive increase. Expansion, thanks to how many people have iphones today. But unfortunately, it doesn't play that much on mass. Not as much as I expected and hoped. Hell, I still have to turn to Microsoft sometime :(
Just like you can always buy a non-retina iMac :-D The new dimensions are probably new or at least there was no information anywhere :-) it all unfolds the same as it was with the Macbook :-) but with the difference that now we know the approximate price of the monitor so we can estimate the price... Anyway, that's just the way it is... 5K - 4K monitors with IPS are another matter, and even if apple gets the panel cheap, they put some margin on it and it's expensive again...
Mainly, even if 4 million Macs are sold and it continues to grow, at least 4/3 of the 4 million are macbooks ... so 1 million will be left for iMacs and Mac Pros and Mac minis ... thus not so much will be sold ... regardless of the price increase ..
I'm thinking of getting a MacBook Air, do you think it makes sense to wait or there won't be anything new soon anyway? I hate to buy something and read the next day that Apple will introduce a new one in a month.
take a look at this http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#Mac
wait for sure at least until the presentation of the macbooks that they will present and then you'll go crazy, I'd rather buy a macbook pro than an air, in my opinion it's worth more, I'm also thinking about buying
I'm thinking about a MacBook Air, but pay extra for a higher configuration (RAM, CPU). The HW is then about the same as on the pro, but in the Air body. Otherwise, thanks for the opinion, I'll wait.
That's clear. Buying anything but an iPhone right now is stupid.
Not at all... maybe the macbook pro has been updated now and there won't be anything newer until May/April next year... I'd wait for the Air... it's been out for a long time
i7-4790Kma TDP 88W. I'm a skeptic.
I think that TB Display is my preference, after all, it looks ridiculous next to the current iMac...
I wrote somewhere that there will be one more event before the end of the year. Hurrah! I hope there will be a new Apple TV. Or just iTV? That would be something.. drool. Hello
More like appletv ... every TV division is at a loss and in my opinion even apple would end up like this ... its TV would cost a lot of money and many people who have FullHD TVs or 4k TVs at home would not see such a benefit in it ... I rather believe in appletv as a bigger box with a more powerful processor and flash storage for applications... Let us be surprised
