Continuity as such thus plays an extremely important role and can make users' daily lives noticeably simpler and more pleasant. Among the most important functions, it is worth mentioning, for example, AirDrop, Handoff, AirPlay, automatic unlocking or approval with Apple Watch, annotations, instant hotspot, calls and messages, Sidecar, universal mailbox and many others.
A very fundamental shift then came at the end of 2022, when macOS 13 Ventura was officially released to the public. The new system brought about a rather practical shift in continuity as such – the possibility of using the iPhone as such wireless webcams. Now apple users can use the full potential of high-quality cameras of apple phones, including all the advantages in the form of the centering function, portrait mode, studio light or table view. The truth is that Macs have been criticized for a long time for their completely ridiculous FaceTime HD webcams with 720p resolution. There is therefore no better solution than to use a quality device that you already carry in your pocket anyway.

As we mentioned in the very introduction, the continuity of Macs is one of the most important advantages. This is precisely what the apple company should definitely not forget, on the contrary. Continuity as such deserves even more attention. The possibilities are already quite extensive, but this does not mean that there is nowhere to move. First of all, Apple could bring the same option as with macOS 13 Ventura, i.e. the possibility of using the iPhone wirelessly as a webcam, even for the Apple TV. However, it does not have to end with the iPhone's camera or camera, on the contrary. As part of the apple portfolio, we find a number of other products that are potential suitable candidates for improvement. Some Apple fans would therefore welcome an extension of continuity in the sense of the connection between iPad and Mac. As a tablet, the iPad has a large touch surface, which is why it could theoretically be used, in combination with a stylus, in the form of a graphics tablet. We would also find a number of other uses – for example, the iPad as a temporary trackpad. In this direction, it would be possible to take advantage of the fact that the apple tablet is significantly larger and thus offers more space for possible work. On the other hand, it is clear that it cannot even come close to matching the classic trackpad, for example due to the absence of Force Touch technology with pressure sensitivity.
Among the frequent requests of the users themselves, one rather interesting point appears quite often. As we already mentioned at the beginning of this article, the so-called universal box works within continuity. This is a relatively simple and extremely practical helper - what you copy (⌘ + C) on your Mac, for example, you can paste on your iPhone or iPad in seconds. Clipboard connectivity is extremely important and has huge potential to make your work easier. That's why it wouldn't hurt if Apple users had a mailbox manager that would keep an overview of the saved records and enable you to go back and forth between them.
